Great textbook on emergency management

Check this out!! Dr. Brenda Phillips, a Board Member of EPI Global, and a renowned emergency management scholar working out of Oklahoma State University has just released the textbook, Introduction to Emergency Management.

Here’s what Brenda says about it: “We integrated issues on vulnerable populations into every single chapter – they were a driving influence throughout the entire book. Some people like them separate – we integrated to insure that they are considered in preparedness, planning, response, recovery, mitigation – and even in the last chapter on the “Next Generation of EMs” by featuring sections on women, racial and ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities – as active practitioners in the field of emergency management.”

Each chapter also contains features by current or former students and by great colleagues.

This is worth taking the time to read!
