Bio: Kristinne Sanz

Kristinne Sanz is the former Web Coordinator of the Gender and Disaster Network, an international network of scholars and practitioners committed to gendering disaster risk reduction.

She has worked in the development sector in various capacities for more than a decade living and working in the Philippines, South Africa and the UK where she is now based.  She has recently co-authored an article on LGBT rights in disasters as part of the global consultation on the post-2015 development agenda.

On a voluntary capacity, she serves as chair of the Women1325 group, which analyses the situation of women in conflicts and wars under the Millennium2015 project coordinated by the Destree Institut and supported by UNESCO. Outside of ‘work’, she bakes bread and builds railway tracks with her three-year old son.
